Oxford is approximately 1.5 hours by bus or 1 hour by train from central London. Birmingham is also 1 hour by train from Oxford.

Oxford is a small city, with a population of around 150,000, including around 30,000 students. The Lake School is in the city centre, near the bus and train stations. The centre is mainly Oxford University colleges, public buildings, shops, offices, restaurants, theatres and parks.

On your first day, your homestay will help you to get to the Lake School. When you arrive at the school, you will receive a map of Oxford in your Welcome Folder.
