All the teachers at the Lake School are qualified in teaching English as a foreign language and experienced at working with students from all over the world, both in the UK and abroad.
Some of our teachers are also teacher trainers on Lake School Professional Development Courses, experienced examiners for IELTS and test writers for Oxford University Press
Your friendly teachers will make sure that you get the best from your classes, by using a range of dynamic and communicative teaching techniques to suit your personal style of learning. You will receive personal attention; your teachers plan their lessons carefully to suit the needs, interests and learning styles of their students, so they provide the right balance of skills, vocabulary and grammar.
As well as using all the most up-to-date course books available, teachers also create their own materials and integrate other resources, such as film and internet into their teaching.
Angus Savory, one of the Lake School teachers, has developed a website, Lets Learn English and also a suite of software programmes for English language learners, which are lots of fun and available for use in school.
