Interactive, lively classes mean fast progress
Morning classes at the Lake School start at 9.15 am. All students break for coffee and lunch at the same time. Semi-Intensive students finish their classes at 1pm. Afternoon classes start at 2pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and finish at 4pm.
In your lessons you will have a wide variety of interactive and focused classroom activities. You will have the opportunity to practise grammatical structures and new vocabulary in a relaxed, supportive environment. You will receive personal attention; your teachers plan their lessons carefully to suit the needs, interests and learning styles of their students, so they provide the right balance of skills, vocabulary and grammar.
All students have a progress test every Friday to review and revise the grammar, vocabulary and skills learnt in the week's classes. There is homework every night.
The school is open from 8am to 5.30pm, Monday - Thursday, and until 4.30pm on Friday. All students can use the free self-study facilities, email and Internet access when they are not in class.

Inclusive cultural, social and sporting activities
Every Tuesday afternoon there is a cultural activity such as a talk from a guest speaker or a guided cultural visit. Every Wednesday or Thursday evening there is a social activity, such as a pub evening, quiz or party at school. There are also regular sports activities, such as football, ice-skating and punting on the River Thames.
These activities are included in your course fees and everyone is invited to join in and take part. However, when the social activity is not held at the Lake School, you will have to pay for your drinks.
