May morning 2005

Lake School students and teachers welcomed the beginning of summer by getting up at 5 am (!) to watch the sunrise, and be part of the magical May morning celebrations in the centre of Oxford.

Magdalen College choir sang and traditional morris dancers performed in Radcliffe Square. University students left their May balls - dressed in gowns and dinner suits - to join in the fun. Then everyone went to have breakfast in the cafes and pubs that had opened specially for the occasion. Lake School students choose to study in Oxford, to be a part of the history of this fabulous university city, so we actively encourage them to join in these memorable events.
