Congratulations to our teachers Lucy Holmes and Sharlene Matharu, who have just published their first book together: ‘Talking Images: Idioms’.

It's a photocopiable resource book for English language teachers and is based on their many years of experience in the English language classroom, writing for OUP and Macmillan, and producing original material for their students. See the book and download a sample unit.

Lake School is currently number 4 in the UK top 100 English language centres 2018

The latest 2018 ranking list of British Council accredited English language centres has been published by the EL Gazette. These rankings are based on the summary statements of the British Council inspection reports. The Lake School was last inspected in August 2017 and currently features at number 4!

Trinity College London Registered Centre for International ESOL Examinations

The Lake School is delighted to be a registered centre for Trinity College London GESE examinations. GESE tests speaking and listening. There are 12 grades available from beginners to advanced (pre-A1 to C2). If you are bringing a group of students to study at the Lake School, ask us about how they can take a GESE exam.
